Brisbane's Moonlight Cinema | Creative Drinks | Brisbane's Creative ...

The luscious lawns of New Farm Park are now even more exciting and inviting than ever!

New Farm Park at the Brisbane Powerhouse boasts the perfect location for the 18th season of the Maltesers Moonlight Cinema.

2013 has seen a variety of outdoor cinemas take advantage of Brisbane’s (mostly) beautiful weather, however the Moonlight Cinema’s 2013 program is raising the bar.

There’s something for the young, the mature, and everything in between.

The festival’s diverse program ranges from advance screenings of eagerly awaited blockbusters, to your favourite romantic comedies, action thrillers and cult classics.

Some of the program highlights include The Railway Man, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Book Thief and 12 Years a Slave.

As for me, I can’t seem to move past Monty Python’s Life of Brian or the crowd pleaser, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

As the summer sunlight lingers longer, there’s no better place in Brisbane to enjoy a film.

Watch in style by bringing along a picnic and a pillow, or hire one of the festival’s bean beds for maximum comfort.

Don’t miss out on the large array of food and beverages offered at the cinema but save room for arguably the best movie snack ever, Maltesers!

The festival runs until February 23rd, with the exceptions of Mondays, Tuesdays and a three day Christmas period. View the complete program here.

Kickstart your Christmas holidays with a bang and watch a film under the moonlight.
