The story of how Twitter became so popular may be turned into a TV series
Lionsgate TV has bought the rights to tell the story of the ups & downs, the failure & success of how Twitter became one of the most popular social media outlets today.
Nick Nick Bilton, a New York Times Columnist & reporter wrote a book (Hatching Twitter) about the Social Mediasource from begining to end. Friends betrayals, power struggles, money, all of it! Now, Lionsgate TV Group has decided to have Bilton write the screenplay to produce a TV series based on his book.
They have teamed Nick Bilton with Producer & Executive Allison Shearmur, known for her work on The Hunger Games to produce the series.
Seems like Lionsgate is trying to match the success of the movie “Social Network” – Based on the creation of Facebook.
