The book which I’m going to describe it isn’t the classic science fiction where strange people come from another galaxy to conquer a planet with their own spaceships, but it’s a kind of story where young people, especially two people Katniss and Peeta Mellark, who live in a place called “discrict 12”, have to fight each others in a spot called “arena”. Once they’ve been chosen, through a sort of lottery, they had to reach, with a special train, the Capitol to be prepared at the training center, together others gamers. Once they are ready, a kind of platform surrounded by glass, fire out them in the arena. There, they will find some backpacks into the Cornucopia and every single gamer had to reach it as soon as possible and pick it up one. It’s a sort of big brother, where the gamers are watching constantly from Capitol’s people, and also from relative through tv camera.
This is a brief introduction, because I’m going to focus on the main characters: Katniss and Peeta. During the final game the rules has been changed, the new rules allowed at two members of the same district to stay alive and to be the new victors. As Katniss and Peeta came from to the same discrict, Katniss had to find Peeta as soon as possible, before the others gamers killed him. When she finally found him, she thought that everything was going smoothly, but suddenly the Gamesmakers had changed the rules again: only one gamer could win The Hunger Games. Because of it Katniss had to make a bad decision that went against the rules, to put in her mouth and Peeta’s the poisonous berries which could kill either. From here, Katniss’ trouble are going to grown up. The wrong that Katniss has made changed completely the relationship among her, the people of Panema and President Snow. My opinion on what happened is that Katniss didn’t want to kill Peeta and come back home alone, because in the arena she felt somenthing true when she kissed Peeta, maybe she tought it was the begging of a love story
