How can this man NOT be the Joker?

After watching more of Jerome in this excellent teaser for season two of Gotham, you can’t help thinking that if the writers are pulling a fast one and it turns out that he isn’t the Joker, then WE’VE BEEN ROBBED! There’s much more to get excited about in this near four-minute featurette than just the proto-Clown Prince of Crime, though. It’s packed with classic Batman villains who individually would be reason enough the tune in but collectively they make sure this will be appointment TV for comic book fans.
We were left with three main questions by the end of it, though: first, what’s all this #maniax business about? Secondly, are we actually going to enjoy Barbara scenes this year? And thirdly – are they thinking of writing out Bruce Wayne altogether?
Gotham season two debuts in the States on Monday 21 September and will air shortly after in the UK on Five.
