“Hunger Games” actor Josh Hutcherson got a warm welcome from the crowd at a Kentucky Wildcats basketball game this weekend.
The 21-year-old actor, a Kentucky native, showed up to the game decked out in Wildcats gear.

The eruption zone saluted Josh Hutcherson with a symbol from the Hunger Games as #18 Kentucky defeated #6 Louisville 73-66 on Saturday.

When he greeted some of his fellow fans during halftime at the game, the enthusiastic crowd welcomed Hutcherson with the three-finger Mockingjay salute used as a signal of solidarity in the films, Kentucky.com first reported.

As Hutcherson saluted the crowd, he made the ‘Y’ symbol for Kentucky.
Hutcherson, who plays love-interest Peeta Mallark in the movie adaptations of the popular young adult book series, seemed thrilled by the recognition.

Hutcherson isn’t the only Kentucky native in the films. Star Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss Everdeen, grew up in Louisville, Kentucky.
