We have two chickens laying daily now, which adds up to a lot of eggs. I sent 18 home with my sister on the weekend and used up 20 making quiches. I still had 16 left, which went up to 18 today. I feel a little like whoever it was who tried to hold back the tide, but I will persevere. I see some muffins for school lunch boxes coming up.
I also made up a big batch of Chilli Con Carne yesterday, one of this household’s favourite meals. There was enough for dinner last night, plus two more nights’ worth to freeze.
Finn’s jumper is approaching completion. I finished the second sleeve last night and I still have a complete ball of the yarn left for the neckband. I just need to master mattress stitch to join the raglan edges. Could take a while.
I finished the Hunger Games trilogy yesterday, too. They were great knitting books. I’ll try to put together a bit of a review later today or tomorrow.
