Natalie Dormer, who plays seductive Margaery Tyrell, betrothed to “Game of Thrones’” King Jeoffrey, showed up at the Screen Actors Guild Awards looking less queenly and more like Queen. Miley Cyrus inspired?
As it turns out, no. Despite numerous reports, Natalie’s shaved cut had nothing to do with the pop singer.
Nonetheless, Dormer, 31, turned heads and drew comparisons to Cyrus all night. Miley famously chopped her flowing locks into a short bob with radically shaved sides a year ago.
But it’s really nothing new. The cuts first surfaced as a fashion statement in the late ’70s and early ’80s during the Glam and Punk Rock era.
The English actress added to the look her red carpet look with a futuristic-looking, body-hugging, Marios Schwab halter-top gown in white with black mesh arm bands.

Despite numerous reports, however Miley never factored into the picture as a style inspiration.
In “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay,” Natalie plays Cressida, a member of the Capitol elite who’s described in the Hunger Games books as “a woman with a shaved head tattooed with green vines.”
“The hair department of Mockingjay did it and I love it,” she told E! News. “A little trepidation but I was excited.”
“Hunger Games: Mockingjay,” which is being filmed in two parts, is currently in production, and Natalie has been working on set.
So now you know. No Miley.
Whether Natalie, or Milely for that matter, spark a fashion revival remains to be seen.
