Gal pal to the rescue.
As much as we love our mates, every so often we can’t help but scream ‘WHY AREN’T YOU TAYLOR SWIFT, FOR GODS SAKE' right in their face, because let’s be honest, Taylor Swift is awesome. Don’t worry, they do it to us too.
One person who knows exactly what it’s like to have sleepovers and selfie sessions with Swifty is Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland, who has officially opted the position of BFF to Taylor recently. And being the top gal pal that she is, she’s been defending TayTay to the end in a recent interview.
Sarah spilled all the goss about her friendship with Swizzlestick, and warned that we shouldn’t pay much attention to the endless tabloid goss about her being a boy obsessed, slightly mental ex-girlfriend armed with an acoustic guitar and the red lipstick of death.
Speaking to People magazine at the Golden Globes, Sarah explained: “She just seems like a really true friend, and it’s just really great to meet people in this industry [like her].”
Addressing Tay’s reputation in the press, she revealed: “A lot of people I’ve met have a preconceived idea [about her], at least from tabloids, but she’s one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met.”
SO THERE. If you’ve been daydreaming about Taylor filling in her burn book with things like ‘Harry Styles is a gtosky little beyotch’ and ‘Jake Gyllenhaal, he made out with a hot dog’, you’re probably barking up the wrong tree.
Although, when asked by the mag if she, herself, had thought of Taylor as a bit of a loony bunny boiler before getting to know her, Sarah coyly replied: “I won’t comment on that.” HMMMM.
Glad to see someone sticking up for Swifty for a change? Loving her and Sarah being BFFs? Let us know in the comments box.
